Troops to Teachers Information Session

New River Preschool Storytime

Tuesday July 23, 10-11 a.m.

The Marine Corps Air Station New River Library is hosting a storytime for children up to five years old and their caregivers. The event will feature crafts following the event. For more information, contact 910-449-6715.

Evening Kayaking Tour

Tuesday July 23, 5:30- 7 p.m.

Outdoor Adventures is hosting an evening kayaking tour of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune’s waterway beginning at the Marina on Marine Corps Air Station New River. The event costs $15 dollars per person. Only single kayaks are available to rent. Children 9-13 years old will use a coracle boat and can be attached to their parents kayak. Register and complete a liability waiver online at http://www.mccslejeune-newriver.com/outdoor/ or at the Outdoor Adventure Office located next to Gottschalk Marina. Healthy Cooking Class

The Health Promotions Building 4 on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune is hosting a class to teach service members and their families how to cook healthy and delicious foods. Space is limited.
