Installation Operating Status and Dashboard now displayed on base and air station websites

Base personnel will now get to see the current operating status for Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River at any given time prominently displayed on their respective websites. The operating status and its accompanying dashboard will provide personnel with changes to operations, including the status of bridges, gates and highly trafficked roads. The operating status and dashboard will most commonly be used for changes caused by inclement weather, but will also communicate closures to areas of the installations caused by vehicle accidents, road obstructions, long term construction or maintenance.

The operating status will typically remain green for normal operations, unless there is a high impact event or emergency that causes it to change to yellow, signaling reduced operations or red, signaling limited operations. Changes to yellow or red status would likely be followed up with a change in reporting instructions for personnel.

The dashboard will display the status of bridges, gates and major road arteries used on MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River. The status of these areas are graphically depicted as a traffic light with green indicating normal operations, yellow for reduced operations and red indicating a closure.

In addition to the installation websites, updates to the operational status and dashboard will be communicated through the Electronic Mass Notification System (eMNS), the installation Facebook pages, Twitter feeds and via the command automated information system at 910-451-1717.

Military and civilian personnel of tenant commands should contact their chain of command or supervisor for complete guidance. Employees of Marine Corps Community Services Lejeune-New River should call the Employee Information Line at 910-451-4044 for specific instructions.

If an event occurs during non-working hours that would cause a change to the operational status of the installation, every attempt will be made to communicate the change prior to the following day.
