Vacating Government Quarters: Final Inspection and Cleaning
So you have your orders to your next duty station, or maybe you're retiring and moving on to greener pastures. Either way, the thought of another military move is a daunting task filled with nightmares of cardboard boxes dancing with your broken china. Then you wake up and realize someone has to clean this place! Whether you choose to clean your quarters yourself or hire a cleaner, a visit to your base housing office is in order.

If you are uncertain about base housing's expectations, make sure you know what the government's version of "clean" means. Cleaning requirements vary from base to base, so don't assume that what was good for Camp Pendleton will fly at Paris Island.
