Lejeune Inn (Temporary Lodging Facility)

The Lejeune Inn, an “Inns of the Corps” Temporary Lodging Facility, is approximately 4 miles from the main gate on Holcomb Boulevard, conveniently located just minutes away from numerous eateries, the Main Exchange, MCX Food Court, commissary, and several banks and ATMs.  In 2013, the addition of a three-story building consisting of 50 rooms featuring queen and king suites, 42” flat screen televisions, and more was completed. Renovations continue as the remaining guest rooms are upgraded.  During the entire renovation, we will have 90 rooms available for rent.  Room types include Standard Double, Executive Double, King ADA Accessible Room, Suite, and Family Suite. All rooms offer microwave and refrigerator, the new suites have full kitchens.  Please call for details and rates.  Visitors in all rooms have access to a free hot breakfast buffet, playground, fitness center, guest laundry, and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Permanent Change of Station (PCS) reservations may be made one year in advance; TAD/TDY reservations may be made 90 days in advance; leisure travel reservations may be made 60 days prior to arrival date. Eligible patrons include Active Duty, Retirees, Dependents, and DOD employees. Due to very high demand, reservations are strongly encouraged.

Family Housing

The Housing Office assists service members and their families to locate on base or off base housing.  The Housing Office at Camp Lejeune oversees more than 4,300 Public-Private Venture (PPV) units aboard Camp Lejeune and neighboring MCAS New River.   Many homes are new or recently renovated, and many others are being replaced or renovated. All privatized units offer central air conditioning and heating.

Camp Lejeune has two PPV partners: (1) Atlantic Marine Corps Communities (AMCC), a partnership between the Department of the Navy and Lend Lease, has been a privatized partner at Camp Lejeune since 2005 and houses more than 4,000 families.  For additional information on any of AMCC’s communities below, visit www.welcomeamcc.com or call the leasing office at 910-219-6380. SNCO & NCO Housing

Among the 659 privatized housing units in the Berkeley Manor Area, there are three and four-bedroom units designated for SNCOs and E-4/E-5 ranks, with five different floor plans.  Also, located at MCAS New River there are 260 housing units designated for ranks E1-E9, and 89 units designated for company grade through senior grade officers.

There are 698 housing units in the Midway Park Area. These homes are two, three, and four bedroom units designated for sergeants and below.

Tarawa Terrace maintains 1,687 housing units. These homes consist of two, three, and four bedroom units designated for sergeants and below. There are six different floor plans.

There are 312 housing units located at Watkins Village, all of which are three and four-bedroom and are designated for SNCOs and junior enlisted.

Knox Cove maintains 80 four bedroom housing units designated for E-8 and E-9 personnel.  There are five different floor plans of which 10% are ADA compliant.

McCutcheon Manor is a family oriented community located on MCAS New River for E1-E9 service members and their families. There are a total of 260 three and four bedroom homes in McCutcheon Manor featuring expanded living space, modern lighting, upgraded flooring in the kitchen, grande master walk in closet, modern countertops, and more.  This community is only a ten minute drive to the Camp Lejeune Main Gate.

The Watkins Grove Community features 136 three and four bedroom duplex and single-family homes boasting 1,667 to 2,024 square feet for service members and their families ranked E6-E9.  LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for Homes is a rating system used to promote design and construction of high performing sustainable homes.  The LEED for Homes rating system measures the overall performance of a home in eight different categories. 

Knox Landing features a total of 50 newly constructed duplex and single family homes in the new Knox Landing community with fenced-in private yards, screened porches and sodded yards. An additional 136 homes are in development for this community, with an expected completion date of late 2015.  This community features four bedroom homes ranging between 2160 square feet to 2163 square feet for military service members and their families ranked from E6-E9. These homes are extremely energy efficient and built to the highest LEED (Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design) standards. Knox Landing is located on Tarawa Terrace in a secluded new area right on the water.

Officer Housing

At Paradise Point, there are 511 housing units consisting of three and four-bedroom units designated for senior grade officers, field grade officers and company grade officers. There are 14 different floor plans with five home types.

Courthouse Bay is a private and well established waterfront community. This community includes Field Grade Officer homes located near the Sneads Ferry gate on MCB Camp Lejeune. There are eight two-story homes in Courthouse Bay, with one available floor plan. These homes feature three large bedrooms, additional mother-in-law suite with its own private bath, and a study.

Hospital Point is an exclusive waterfront Officer Community with a total of 18 homes. There are 18 homes that are designated for Company Grade Officers while the remaining homes are designated for GOQ's/Senior Grade housing. This community has breathtaking views of the New River and is lined with large trees for shade.

Peterfield Landing is one of the newest communities for Officers at Atlantic Marine Corps Communities and is located at MCAS New River. This Officer community features walking trails, a playground and easy access from the main gate of MCAS New River and a ten minute drive to the Camp Lejeune Main Gate. This new officer community consists of 89, spacious three and four bedroom homes that range between 1,889 to 2,629 square feet. These newly constructed homes feature large kitchens perfect for entertaining, fenced in private backyards, and spacious two car garages.

Heroes Manor is Lincoln Military Housing’s flagship community aboard MCB Camp Lejeune. Heroes Manor is currently under construction with an anticipated community completion date of late 2014. The community will boast 560 three and four bedroom homes ranging from 1,800-2,200 square feet designated for Sergeants and below.

Applications for assignment (DD Form 1746 and CG MCIEAST Addendum) to on-base PPV provided quarters should be completed and sent via email, mailed, or hand carried to the Family Housing Office, Building TT-43, Tarawa Terrace as soon as a military sponsor knows of an upcoming move to this area, or within 30 calendar days of reporting for duty.   When the DD Form 1746 and its addendum are sent in, the applicant will be placed on the inactive waiting list until they have physically checked in to their unit and reported to Family Housing. If the applicant physically reports to Family Housing within 30 calendar days after officially reporting for duty at Camp Lejeune, their control date will be the date of detachment from their last permanent duty station.  These forms and information regarding advanced applications may be found at (insert new website address here).

When you apply for Camp Lejeune Marine Corps housing you will need one of the following:

•           Original orders with original reporting endorsement.

•           Copies of original orders and reporting endorsement, certified by your commanding officer to be true copies.

•           A letter from your commanding officer to the director, Family Housing, giving the date you detached from your last permanent duty station and the date you reported to Camp Lejeune for duty.

•           Page 3 from your Service Record Book (Marine personnel); Page 5 from your service record book (Navy personnel).

Military sponsors must report to the Family Housing Office prior to renting, leasing or purchasing a home.  The Family Housing Office is responsible for validating applicants and for providing referrals to the PPV Partner for housing.  Family Housing is always the military service member’s first stop for on-base family housing.  Waiting times for assignment to privatized housing vary from zero to twelve months.

In addition to information on privatized housing, the Family Housing Office maintains listings of available off-base rentals and sales and can provide information on the off-base Rental Partnership Program (RPP).  The RPP is designed to assist in offsetting some of the normal costs associated with housing in the civilian sector.  The office also provides listings of public and private schools, local health numbers, emergency numbers and numbers to local lodging.

Loan Locker

If you find yourself checked in to Lejeune but without your household goods, visit the Relocation Center and check out the Loan Locker.  The Relocation Assistance Program assists military service members and their families make a smooth move to and from Camp Lejeune by loaning you numerous items and services at no charge.
