POW/MIA remembered at monthly “Reading of the Names”

Members of Onslow County’s community pay tribute to North Carolina prisoners of war and missing in action service members at a monthly gathering at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Lejeune Memorial Gardens, Feb. 1. At 12 p.m. every first Saturday of the month, veterans support groups read aloud the names of 38 North Carolina servicemen who remain missing in action from the Vietnam War. The event is open to the public.
