Jacksonville’s Winterfest

Saturday, 1- 6 p.m.

Come out to Riverwalk Park in Jacksonville for this festive annual event. Enjoy sledding, ice skating and snowball fights in the park. Santa arrives at 1 p.m. Other activities will include a petting zoo, reindeer games, hay, pony and train rides. An old fashioned candy shop will be available at the Riverwalk Marina. The tree lighting ceremony takes place at 5:30 p.m. and the holiday flotilla starts after dark. Winterfest is free and open to the public. For more information, call 938-5312.

MCCS Tree Lighting

Sunday, 5 - 8 p.m.

Bring the family out to The Landing on Marine Corps Air Station New River for the Marine Corps Community Services Tree Lighting ceremony. The event will feature holiday music, decor, food and hayrides. Santa and Mrs. Claus are making a special appearance with their elves and reindeer. This event is free and open to authorized patrons. Camp Candy Cane

Dec. 7, 4 - 6 p.m.

Families are invited to come to the Tarawa Terrace Community Center on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune for this holiday celebration. The event will feature crafts and photo opportunities with Gunny Claus. Organizations from around the area will be present to provide information about available resources in the community. Holiday Craft Workshop

Holiday Concert

Celebrate the season with the sound of holiday music at the annual Holiday Concert featuring the 2nd Marine Division Band. Listen to classic holiday music, orchestral masterpieces, unique 2nd Marine Division Band arrangements of old favorites and sing-a-longs to Yuletide tunes.
