Military Appreciation Day

June 2, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The Swansboro Area Chamber of Commerce’s Military Affairs Committee and Hammocks Beach State Park present Military Appreciation Day. The event will feature ferry rides, food, park exhibits, entertainment and other family-friendly activities at the Hammocks Beach State Park. Lunch and Learn: Stocks and the Market

The Lunch and Learn Series being held at Bldg. AS-913 Longstaff Street, Marine Corps Air Station New River is designed to provide information about relocation allowances and financial considerations as a result of a permanent change of station. For more information, call 449-4979.

Arts by the Sea Festival

June 9, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Join the Pug Pavilion at Olde Towne Square in Swansboro for the 2018 Arts by The Sea Festival. The event will take place by the waterfront and feature a variety of arts to include jewelry, paintings, carvings, photography, sculptures, stained glass and crafts. All Ranks Daddy-Daughter Dance

June 9, 3 - 7 p.m.

All ranks are invited to participate in the annual Daddy-Daughter Dance at the Officers’ Club on Marine Corps Air Station New River. The event will feature an afternoon of dancing and food to celebrate Father’s Day. Reservations can be made through the New River Officers’ Club. Open to all authorized patrons. Vacation Bible School

June 26-28, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

The Protestant Mainside Chapel on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune will host a three-day vacation Bible school adventure. The theme is “shipwrecked.” Children will have the opportunity to make treats and participate in team-building activities. For more information, call 451-3210.
