St. Paddy’s Day Celebration

Saturday, 1 - 4 p.m.

Join the Tarawa Terrace Community Center for the annual St. Paddy’s Day celebration. Kick off the day with a treasure hunt for a gold Leprechaun, games, bouncy houses, photo booth and prizes. The event will feature a special performance by Freedom Dance. Admission is free and open to all authorized patrons. For more information, call 450-1687.

Baby Boot Camp for Single Active-Duty Mothers

March 12-13, 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Single Moms will have the opportunity to gain knowledge that will help them in caring for their new baby. Helpful local family resources will be discussed. Class participants will have the opportunity for hands-on learning of infant care skills. The class will be at Bldg. 799 Brewster Blvd. For more information, call 449-9501.

Wildlife Explorers

March 12-15, 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.

Join Outdoor Adventures at the Brewster Recreation Area on Camp Lejeune for an adventure exploring nature, learning about wildlife and their habitat. Pack a water bottle, sun screen, snacks, and get ready to embark on an adventure. Open to authorized patrons six to nine years of age. For more information, call 451-1440.

St. Patrick’s Day Festival

March 17, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the annual festival in Emerald Isle at Emerald Plantation Shopping Center. This year’s festival will feature more than 75 arts and crafts, food vendors, amusement rides, face painters, and many other family activities. No pets on festival grounds. Coin Show

March 17, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., March 18, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The Jacksonville-Camp Lejeune Coin Club hosts an event to feature a wide variety of American and foreign coins. The event will feature a kids’ corner, games and a raffle for prizes. The Coin Show will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Jacksonville.

Eggstravaganza

March 24, 3 - 5 p.m.

Join Jacksonville Parks and Recreation at the Jacksonville Commons Recreation Complex Youth Rotary Fields for the annual Eggstravaganza. The event will begin with carnival games and a visit with the Easter Bunny. Egg hunts will start at 4 p.m. and will be divided by age groups. Open and free to the public.
