Onslow Winds Jazz Ensemble Community Performance

Vacation Bible School

Monday - Wednesday, 9 a.m. - Noon

The Protestant Mainside Chapel on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and the New River Air Station Chapel will host a three-day vacation Bible school adventure. The theme is ‘shipwrecked.’ Children will have the opportunity to make treats and participate in team-building activities. For more information, call 451-3210.

Fossil Talk and Sand Castle Contest

June 27, 1:30 - 3 p.m.

Join the Marine Corps Base Summer Reading Program for a day on Onslow Beach as they talk about all the fossils that you can find there. The event will also feature a classic sand castle contest. Open to authorized patrons. For more information, call 451-3026.

2nd Annual Anti-Poverty Festival

June 30, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Eastern Carolina Human Service Agency, Inc. will host their 2nd annual Anti-Poverty Festival at the Jack Amyette Recreation Park in Jacksonville. The festival will feature food, music, games, field day activities, splash pad, community resources and a basketball tournament. Event is free and open to the public. July 4th Celebration BaseFEST

July 4, 3 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Country music star, Cole Swindell will be joined by Carlton Zeus, Tyler Farr and Lindsey Ell at the W.P.T. Hill Field on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. NC Polynesian Festival

July 27-28

Join the Asian-Pacific community of Onslow County at Onslow Pines Park for the annual festival celebrating the Polynesian culture and heritage. The event will feature traditional Polynesian cuisine and dances. Event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 934-2338.
