Pender County Hurricane Heroes Dinner

Saturday, 2 - 4 p.m.

Join Pender County Emergency Management for a dinner to honor school staff and first responders. The event will take place at the Burgaw Fire Department bldg. at 109 N. Walker Street in Burgaw. A minimum $25 donation for admission to the general public. Hurricane Heroes will receive a free meal and VIP meet-and-greet with rising country music star Lee Gantt. Mullet Festival

Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Come out to downtown Swansboro for the annual Swansboro Mullet Festival and get a glimpse into Swansboro’s history combined with a modern celebration of all things mullet. The festival will feature a parade, food, live music and children’s activities. The event is open and free to the public. Downtown streets will be closed to traffic both days and no pets are allowed. Veterans Day Ceremony

Join the Onslow County Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans for their annual commemoration ceremony honoring Veterans Day. Retired USMC Sgt. Maj. Michael Cline will be the guest speaker. Jacksonville Christmas Holiday Parade

Join the American Legion of Jacksonville at 146 Broadhurst Road for the annual Festival of Trees, a family-centered event celebrating the Christmas tradition in Onslow County. The event will feature decorated Christmas trees, holiday displays including a special military display, a silent auction, and a variety of homemade goods and crafts.
