The Preschool Services in Onslow County are designed to provide high-quality educational experiences to enhance school readiness for eligible three and four year-old children. The program guidelines are built on the premise that to be successful in school children need to be prepared in all 5 developmental domains that are critical to the child’s well-being and success in reading and math; Approaches to Play and Learning, Emotional and Social Development, Health and Physical Development, Language and Literacy Development, and Cognitive Development.
Who should apply?
- ALL Children turning 3 or 4 on or before August 31st
- Active Duty Military Families
- Families experiencing economic hardship
- Children with an IEP or IFSP
- Children with Chronic Health Conditions
- Children in Foster or Kinship Care
*Due to the eligibility requirements of each funding source additional at-risk factors can be considered based on the family’s needs.
