BB Polls 1/7

Swansboro girls, Pender boys recognized as two of state’s best so far this season, a high school sports and college recruiting site affiliated with Yahoo subsidiary Rivals, released its first high school basketball media polls of the season, Jan. 7.

Two area teams appeared in the top 10 of its class. The Swansboro girls’ team came in at #7 in Class 3A with 27 points. Also in Class 3A, the Jacksonville girls received honorable mention.

The Pender boys took the seventh spot in Class 1A as the only area boys’ team to make the top 10. Also in 1A, the East Carteret boys received honorable mention.

The Croatan girls’ team made honorable mention in the 2A standings while the Dixon boys were voted a top-15 team among the state’s 2A schools.

High school media members from across the state participated in the poll.
